Testing Demeanor student will respect the testing situation	Poor up and down from seated position; talking to others during testing situation; needs many reminders to use quiet voice	Fair may remain in seat; poorly prepared for "free" time; small distraction to others but regroups with one request; has basic materials; needs few reminders to use quiet voice	Good remains in position, applying directions to raise hand for a question or bathroom need; no talking or distractive behavior; reading aloud in quiet voice
Prepared for Setting student has necessary materials and preplans for quiet activity in free time	Poor unprepared for extra free time;	Fair May have an idea of how to fill in time; small distraction with compliance following an adult redirect; does not continue	Good Has a novel or other reading matter, and/or a plan of writing, doodling, or otherwise quietly spending time while others are testing; and, uses strategy without prompt
