Short Story Short Story Each student must write a short story. It must be 10-12 sentences. It can be fiction or non-fiction. Use our Vocabulary Words to help you with your story. Creativeness	Needs Work! -Student was not creative. -Student did not show the he/she put a lot of effort into the assignment.	Good Job! -Student showed little creativeness. -Student shows some effort and planning.	Great Job! -Student was very creative and imaginative. -Shows a lot of effort was put into planning the Short Story
Content	Needs Work! -Student had poor or no plot points. -There was no beginning, middle, or end. -There were only a few sentences.	Good Job! -Student had good plot points. -The beginning, middle, and end was unclear. -It was a little under the required length.	Great Job! -Student had great plot points -There was a clear beginning, middle, and end. -It is the required length.
Grammar	Needs Work! -There was poor and incorrect use of grammar. -Student showed a lot of mistakes in punctuation and spelling.	Good Job! -Most of the grammar was correct. -Student showed some mistakes in punctuation and spelling.	Great Job! -Great and correct use of grammar throughout the paper. -Student showed little or no mistakes in punctuation and spelling.
Follows Directions	Needs Work! -Student did not follow the directions.	Good Job! -Student completed the Short Story, but did not follow all directions.	Great Job! -Student completed the Short Story and followed all directions.
