Choreography	Needs Improvement I demonstrated little to no knowledge of the choreography. I made visible mistakes and did not recover. I looked lost and out of sync with others. Movement created did not demonstrate anything about the story.	Fair I demonstrated some knowledge of choreography, but was unsure of some movements. I sometimes hesitated/watched others and made some errors. Movement created demonstrated little emotion or narrative.	Good I demonstrated good knowledge of choreography. I kept up with group. I made few errors. Choreography displayed emotion and narrative.	Excellent I demonstrated excellent knowledge of the choreography. and executed it well. Choreography clearly portrayed emotion and story of the characters.
Behavior/Effort	Needs Improvement I was off-task all of the time. I put little to no effort into my work. I didn't work well with other students. I caused distractions and goofed off.	Fair I was off-task a lot. I didn't try very hard. I didn't work well with other students. I caused some distractions.	Good I was off-task occasionally I put forth strong effort and worked fairly hard. I worked well with other students.	Excellent I was on task nearly all of the time. I gave 100% in effort and tried my hardest. I worked well with other students.
Energy and Focus	Needs Improvement Comment: I showed a lack of the energy and focus required to demonstrate the characters, story, and emotions in this dance.	Fair Comment: I showed a small amount of energy and focus, but not enough to demonstrate the true characters, story, and emotions in this dance.	Good Comment: I showed enough energy and focus to relay the characters, story, and emotions in this dance.	Excellent Comment: I showed a great amount of energy and focus as it related to the characters, story, and emotions in this dance. The class audience truly saw my character expressed through my movements.
