Mask Expressions

Students will create an original Ceramic Mask inspired by cultures and mask functions from around the world. Mask will be an symmetrical or asymmetrical form and must express an emotion and have added clay features. The Mask must include 3 + textured areas with pressed repeated pattern. Masks must be well-crafted, painted with mixed acrylics and color schemes that follow the function of the mask and add to the expressed emotion.

Proficient Uniform slab mostly consistent; surface dimension is good; edges are mostly smooth & overall craftsmanship accomplished with skill. Use of a template is apparent.	Basic Slabs are not consistent; relief moderately enhances the 3/D effect but is not well-blended; craftsmanship of edges and outcome should be improved.
