Catching	Pre-control Cannot track the object. Moves away from the ball	Control Eyes closed or turns head away from ball. Does not move to catch ball. Catches ball with straight arms away from body or traps ball between body and arms.	Utilization Eyes on ball but may flinch. Reaches to catch ball. Catches with hands only.	Proficient Eyes on ball. Moves and reaches to catch ball. Catches with hands only. Catches ball above head or below waist. Uses soft hands
Overhand Throw	Pre-control Facing the target (not sideways) Arm not extended behind the head (T Stance) No step No follow through, just flicks the ball.	Control Shoulder is facing the target Arm is extended behind head (T Stance) Arm is makes an L Steps with wrong foot Ball is thrown from the side (side arm) and does not follow through across the body	Utilization Shoulder is facing the target and non-dominant arm is pointing at target Arm is extended behind head (T Stance) Arm is makes an L Steps with opposite arm Ball is thrown from over top of head and arm finishes across the body	Proficient Shoulder is facing the target and non-dominant arm is pointing at target Arm is extended behind head (T Stance) Arm is makes an L Steps with opposite arm Ball is thrown from over top of head and arm finishes across bod with dramatic follow through (pick up grass) Transfers weight from back foot to front foot. Coordinated arm motion with smooth release. Throws with power and accuracy.
