Testing Behavior

student will respect the testing environment

Excellent

Student remains in seat, raises hand for a question or need; no talking or distracting behavior. Phones away or turned over. Earbuds & headphones off.
Fair

Student remains in seat; small distraction to others but regroups with one prompt; has basic materials.
Poor

Student is up and down from seat; talking to others and/or sleeping during testing situation; other distracting behavior (phones, makeup, earbuds etc.)
Prepared for Setting

student has necessary materials and pre-plans for quiet activity after completing test

Excellent

Has fully charged Chromebook for testing and a novel or other reading material, and/or quietly working independently while others are testing; and, uses strategy without prompt.
Fair

Works independently most of the time; small distraction with compliance following an adult redirect; does not continue with distractions
Poor

Does not work independently, even with multiple prompts
Uses testing strategies

Excellent

Reviews entire subsection first; answers all questions without guessing; rechecks own work for accuracy. No rapid guessing.
Fair

Reasonable compliance; requiring 2 or more redirect/prompts; answers questions without guessing after one prompt by proctor. Limited rapid guessing.
Poor

Needs more than 2 prompts at redirection; "clicking" through test questions; proctor has to pause test to address student rapid guessing etc.
Self-Advocacy

Shows evidence of addressing personal needs

Excellent

Alert, appears physically comfortable; prepared to test; attentive to directions; ; takes breaks when needed
Fair

Requires a prompt to listen to and/or read directions; inconsistent in availing self of physical breaks
Poor

Excessive fatigue; falls asleep at computer; refuses breaks or redirection
Attendance

Excellent

On time, present for entire testing period
Fair

No more than 5 minutes late without a pass or leaving early during testing period
Poor

Misses more than 10 minutes during testing period or does not make up testing time
