Back Swing

Needs Improvement

Student does not exhibit control and excessive head movement is obvious.
Fair

Student practices correct form with most swings staying in the swing plane, club does not pass parallel and head movement is minimal. A smooth rhythm is still yet to be achieved.
Excellent

Student displays correct technique with speed and control producing an even tempo. Head remains still with eyes on the ball, wrists unbroken and swing remains in an appropriate swing plane.

Student chips one to three balls within the target zone.

Student chips four to five balls within the target zone.
Excellent

Student chips six or seven balls within the target zone.
Follow-Through

Needs Improvement

Student stops the swing as soon as contact is made with the ball.

Student swings through the ball after contact; but does not turn the body to face the target.
Excellent

Student swings through the ball to a full finish with shoulders turned and hands pointing to the target.
