KP Soccer Assessment KP Soccer Assessment First Unit: Assessing Skills: Dribbling and passing. Students will dribble a predetermined distance and pass a soccer ball to partner. The partner will either be stationary or moving depending on the skill level of the student dribbler. Differentiation will be in the form of 1. dribbling through cones 2. passing to a moving target. Soccer unit skills assessment
	Needs Improvemt 1 pts	Developing 2 pts	Competency 3 pts	Mastery 4 pts
Dribble around cones set course 50 yds in length, cones 5 yards apart, there and back. Time as noted	Needs Improvemt Student has difficulty using both feet and keeping ball near body, misses all cone and very slow during all three attempts.	Developing Student has mild difficulty using both feet and keeping the ball near body, misses some cones and is slow. Improvement is observed during the three attempts	Competency Student keeps ball close to body, demonstrates good foot skills and body position, speed is satisfactory.	Mastery Student uses excellent ball control and body positioning, ball in control and all cones gone around properly. Exceptionally quick and accurate.
Passing Demonstrate proper stance and form	Needs Improvemt Student does not kick ball with inside of foot, opposite foot from kicking foot is not next to the ball.	Developing Student does not consistently kick the ball with the inside of the foot, opposite foot is not consistently next to the ball.	Competency Student uses inside of foot, addresses ball properly, uses good form	Mastery Student uses excellent form, economy of motion, excellent velocity and acceleration
