Identifying VIN Locate and decode VIN	Excellent Demonstrated mastery of task. No assistance needed to locate and decode VIN.	Good Student is able locate & decode VIN with minimal assistance. May have missed a key point.	Fair Student needed moderate assistance to locate and decode VIN. Student needs to practice more.	Unsatifactory Student made no effort to locate and/or decode VIN. Student displayed no exposure.
Follow Directions of task Student performed task in the order of the directions of the task.	Excellent Demonstrated mastery of of task. Student performed task exactly according to directions in task sheet.	Good Student completed task sheet questions, but did not follow the directions exactly.	Fair Student completed task sheet questions, but skipped the majority of the directions of the task.	Unsatifactory Student did not follow directions of the task. Student filled out task sheet after completing oil change task.
Using Service Labels Using vehicle labels and owners manual to determine information about vehicle.	Excellent Demonstrated mastery of task. No assistance was needed to locate service labels and correctly answer questions from the info on the labels.
