Students will throw a football overhand.

Overhand Throwing
	Meets Standards 3 pts	Progressing 2 pts	Beginning 1 pts
Feet (Step w/ Opposition)	Meets Standards Steps forward with opposite foot pointed at the target.	Progressing Steps forward with the opposite foot, but doesn't step up.	Beginning Steps forward with the wrong foot and not pointed to the target.
Arm-Elbow (Power "L")	Meets Standards Swings the throwing arm back with the elbow leading going forward.	Progressing Swings the throwing arm back some and partially leads with the elbow.	Beginning Doesn't swing the throwing arm back and lead with the elbow.
Grip (Laces)	Meets Standards Hand is slightly behind the middle on the laces. Ball rolls off of fingertips in a spiral.	Progressing Hand is in proper position, but needs to work on rolling the ball off of fingers.	Beginning Hand is to far forward or back and not on the laces causing the ball to flutter. Doesn't roll the ball off of fingers.
Follow Through	Meets Standards Student always shows this.	Progressing Student occasionally shows this.	Beginning Student seldomly shows this.
