Basketball:Jump Shot 
Evaluation on fundamentals of shooting a free throw. Students are Rated and scored on the mechanics of their shot, not the number of made baskets. Students are scored at 9 possible points. Scoring in the Advanced range gains extra credit.

feet shoulder width apart, knees bent, elbow and wrist of shooting hand in line.

Shoots without proper mechanics.

extend legs and shooting arms extend, ball moves upward and leaves finger tips last creating back spin. Non shooting hand is there to just stabalize ball

Ball rolls off fingers for back spin
wrist flip, wave good-bye to the ball.

Makes no attempt to follow through:

Wrist flick, shooting hand goose neck, non shooting hand in same spot.

Gaining consistency (50%) to complete the follow through, but awkward.
Proficient

Consistently completes the follow-through (75%), proper release.
Advanced

Follow through with wrist snap every time. Makes the shot look easy, the fundamentals are present and ball flows off the fingers.
