Basketball:Jump Shot Basketball:Free throw shooting Evaluation on fundamentals of shooting a free throw. Students are Rated and scored on the mechanics of their shot, not the number of made baskets. Students are scored at 9 possible points. Scoring in the Advanced range gains extra credit. Basketball: free throw shooting
	Needs Improvement 1 pts	Developing 2 pts	Proficient 3 pts	Advanced 4 pts
Body Alignment:	Needs Improvement Inconsistency, lacks the attempt of completing the following: feet shoulder width apart, knees bent, elbow and wrist of shooting hand in line.	Developing gaining consistency but still is inconsistent with the form laid out.(50%)	Proficient Shooting toe, foot, hand and eye lined up to the nail hole. Shooting hand- Along seam for grip, fingers spread; elbow in. non shooting hand - faces side of the ball, fingers only touch the ball. non shooting foot is shoulder width apart, slightly back.	Advanced All the fundamental mechanics are present, over 90% of the time. Makes the shot look easy, the fundamentals are present and ball flows off the fingers.
Shooting Action	Needs Improvement Shoots without proper mechanics. extend legs and shooting arms extend, ball moves upward and leaves finger tips last creating back spin. Non shooting hand is there to just stabalize ball	Developing gaining consistency (50%), but still not implementing proper mechanics	Proficient Ball rolls off fingers for back spin wrist flip, wave good-bye to the ball. path of the ball, makes a rainbow- shot arches high to land downward toward the back board and net.	Advanced All the fundamental mechanics are present, over 90% of the time. Makes the shot look easy, the fundamentals are present and ball flows off the fingers.
Finish Position	Needs Improvement Makes no attempt to follow through: Wrist flick, shooting hand goose neck, non shooting hand in same spot.	Developing Gaining consistency (50%) to complete the follow through, but awkward.	Proficient Consistently completes the follow-through (75%), proper release.	Advanced Follow through with wrist snap every time. Makes the shot look easy, the fundamentals are present and ball flows off the fingers.
