Bilateral Motor Planning

Beginning

Cannot flip rope over head, cannot jump or step over rope, trips or catches rope every attempt, rope does not make complete revolution over their head. Cannot imitate jumping jack motions.
Developing

Able to successfully rotate rope >50 % of the time. Able to step or jump over a stationary rope, needs cues for each step of the sequence. Emerging ability to jump over a moving rope. Completes jumping jacks slowly and either arm or legs correct.
Progressing

Able to demonstrate proper rope and jumping technique for 1 moving jump sequence, needs to stop between each jump. Successful 80% of the time for each trial. Completes 1-2 continuous jumping jacks with cues.
Secure/Mastery

Can jump rope with either a step or jump over pattern consistently and smoothly for >10 repetitions. Completes 10 smooth jumping jacks.

Cannot maintain various core strength body postures without support.
Cannot complete Wheelbarrow walking >5 feet without fatigue, cannot complete >1 push ups well.
Developing

Able to maintain various core strength body postures >10 seconds and with some support. Can complete Wheelbarrow walking >10 feet without fatigue, can complete at least 2 push ups well.
Progressing

Able to maintain various core strength body postures >15 seconds and with some support. Can complete Wheelbarrow walking >15 feet without fatigue, can complete at least 3 push ups well.
Secure/Mastery

Able to maintain various core strength body postures for >20 seconds without fatigue.
Can complete Wheelbarrow walking >30 feet without fatigue, can complete at least 5 push ups well.

Able to trace moderately complex paths with good accuracy. May not erase efficiently or completely. Legibility accurate 75-80% Emerging skills to grade pencil pressure.
Progressing

Traces any complex 1/8" wide path with 3-4 errors per sample. Erases efficiently 80% of trials. Produces legible written work consistently on all copied classwork, may decrease in spontaneous work. Grades pencil pressure with effort and concentration.

Traces accurately any complex 1/8" wide path. Erases efficiently. Produces legible written work consistently across all classwork. Grades pencil pressure smoothly.
