Basketball

Dribble Basketball	Novice I have difficulty dribbling the basketball. I have to use two hands to bounce the ball with control. I do not use my fingertips when bouncing the ball.	Satisfactory I can dribble the basketball with control sometimes. Most of the time I can dribble the ball without double dribbling I use my fingertips when bouncing the ball sometimes.	Proficient I can dribble and control the basketball with both hands most of the time. My eyes are most of the time scanning the court. I use my fingertips when bouncing the ball most of the time.	Expert I can dribble and control the basketball with both hands all of the time. My eyes are scanning the court all the time I use my fingertips when bouncing the ball all the time.
Shoot Basketball	Novice I cannot shoot the ball successfully. I do not follow through or use my legs to help me shoot the ball.	Satisfactory I can shoot the ball correctly some of the time. Sometimes I follow through and use my legs to help shoot the ball.	Proficient I can shoot the ball correctly and follow through most of the time. Most of the time I hold the ball above my head correctly and use my legs to help me shoot the ball.	Expert I can use two hands to shoot the ball correctly and follow through all of the time. I use my legs to help me shoot the ball all the time
Rules & sportspersonship	Novice I do not follow or understand the rules of basketball. Rarely demonstrates sportspersonship. Student frequently has a negative attitude with peers and teachers	Satisfactory I sometimes follow the rules and understand the game of basketball. Student occasionally demonstrates sportspersonship and generally has a positive attitude with peers and teachers.	Proficient I follow the rules of basketball and understand the rules. I am a team player most of the time. Student usually demonstrates sportspersonship and most of the time has a positive attitude with peers and teachers.	Expert I consistently follow the rules of basketball. I know all the rules of the game and could umpire a game. I am a team player all of the time. Student always demonstrates sportspersonship and as a positive attitude with peers and teachers all of the time.
