Student is completely unable to bring the rope over their head.
Fair

Student struggles slightly to turn rope over head and does not start at hip area.
Good

Student struggles slightly to turn rope over head. The rope is almost a smooth swing. Student is able to start at the hip area.
Excellent

Student is able to turn rope over head evenly with both arms with one smooth swing.
Timing of Jump

Poor

Student is not coordinated enough to jump with one or two feet.
Fair

Student is able to jump with two feet over rope but not able to jump at the appropriate time.
Good

Student is able to jump with one foot at a time over the rope with correct timing.
Excellent

Student is able to jump over the rope with both feet at the correct time.
Continous Jump Rope Skills

Poor

Student is not coordinated enough or skilled to bring the jump rope over head or jump continuously for repetitive motion.
Fair

Student is able to either perform the rope movements or the jumping movements-but not both.
Good

Student is able to perform both movements but in an uncoordinated way without balance.
Excellent

Student is fully skilled, able to jump with two feet continuously in balanced movements.
