Balance, Rock, Roll, Bend

Bellow standard

Student is unable to balance on a line with or without assistance. Student can rock side to side with assistance. Student cannot log roll without assistance. Student needs help to bend at waist.
Developing

Student is able to balance on a line on the floor. Student can rock side to side. Student can get into position for log roll but cannot roll unassisted. Student bends slightly at waist
Advanced

Student is able to walk on balance beam for at least 4 steps with assistance. Student can rock from side to side and forward and backward with assistance. Student will perform log roll with assistance. Student can bend at waist in forward motion.
Proficient

Student is able to walk on a balance beam at least 4 steps without assistance. Student will perform log roll with minimal assistance. Student can bend at waist from side to side.
Excelling

When asked, student will walk on a balance beam unassisted. Student will rock in place. Student will perform a log roll. Student will bend body in all directions.
Swing, Push, Pull, Twist

Bellow standard

Student can push or pull objects with assistance. Student can swing arms and/or legs with assistance. Students can twist with assistance
Developing

Student can push or pull objects with assistance. Student can swing arms and/or legs with assistance. Students can twist with assistance
Advanced

Student can push or pull objects with assistance.<BR>
Student can swing arms and/or legs without assistance. Students can twist with assistance.
Proficient

Student can push or pull objects with assistance. Student can swing arms and legs without assistance. Students can twist without assistance.
Excelling

When asked, student will swing arms and legs. Student will model pushing and pulling movement and twisting at the waist.
Curl, turn, stretch

Bellow standard

Student attempts to stretch limbs. Student attempts to curl limbs. Student is unable to turn in directions.
Developing

Student is able to stretch limbs with assistance. Student is able to curl arms with assistance. Student is able to turn in a directions with assistance.
Advanced

Student is able to stretch limbs. Student is able to curl limbs with assistance. Student needs assistance turning in directions.
Proficient

Student is able to stretch and curl limbs without assistance. Student needs assistance to turn in different directions (right, left).
Excelling

When asked, student will curl torso and arms. Student will turn in all directions. Students will stretch their bodies in different directions.
