Learning Target - To create aline drawing design, made out line patterns: jagged, curved, broken, dashed, spiral, straight, wavy, zigzag lines; and other lines in art to demonstrate an understanding of line.

Line Jagged, curved, broken, dashed, spiral, straight, wavy, zigzag lines	What???? Use of line types is minimal at best, and does not show interest or personal content. More time needed to improve on this concept.	Good start lines were used, but did not give much personal content to drawing. Offers some visual interest in variation.	Pretty good At least one type of line is used. Art work is unique to student and added personal content to the drawing.	Wow!!! At least 1 type of line is used and is unique to student and adds personal content to the drawing. Lines offer variation and interest.
Line Quality Line weight, line length, changes in direction	What???? Very little care was given to drawing of line or student lacks understanding. More time needed to improve on this concept.	Good start Line was sometimes drawn with care and variation but seems rushed in some areas.	Pretty good Variation of line was used to show changes throughout drawing, but could have been stronger with more variety of characteristics.	Wow!!! Composition/ Design Planning through Pencil Layout. Creative Problem solving.	What???? It appears, no thought has been given to the art work or placement of lines. More time needed to improve on this concept.	Good start Some thought was given to the placement of lines but student needs more time to develop this skill.	Pretty good Thought was given to the placement of lines and student created an interesting and pretty good design overall.	Wow!!! The student tried unusual combinations and demonstrated outstanding problem-solving skills. Great creativity produced a great design!
Craftsmanship/ Finish Work finished to the best of the students ability, and is neat with few stray marks and no tears/folds.	What???? Drawing is unfinished or appears messy and needs attention. Student did not use class time wisely. More time needed to improve on this concept.	Good start Art is partly neat but could be improved or cleaned up.	Pretty good Art is neat and pencil and marker were used carefully and skillfully and the drawing is completely finished.	Wow!!! Finished art is neat and looks amazing. Student used class time to their advantage and took pride in going well beyond the requirements.
