APPR Growth/Achievement Assessment Rubric for 6th Grade Art APPR Growth/Achievement Assessment Rubric for 6th Grade Art Performance Task: The diagnostic assessment is focused on the combining the understanding and use of art elements and principles in a single composition. In 6th Grade Art students will refine shading and drawing skills and an understanding of what is expected in a developed successful composition which will result in a rating of 1 to 4 on the art department developed rubric. Students will demonstrate their knowledge, skill and ability level throught the creation of the Depth Composition. Through the repetition of a single shape students are asked to use their skills to develop a successful composition that contains depth.
