Some pieces sanded well, still many imperfections.

Some scratches are visible. Some cross grain sanding may be visible some sharp edges.
Level 4

Smooth finish with no visible scratches with no sharp edges.
Safety

Level 1

Student neglects to use proper safety equipment and is careless in the work. Does not keep area neat and organized.
Level 2

With prompting, student uses safety glasses. Must be reminded to cleanup work space and reminded of proper machine usage.
Level 3

Student uses safety glasses. Student is somewhat careless about work and does always not keep area neat.
Level 4

Student uses safety glasses, works carefully and keeps work area neat and clutter free.
Craftsmanship

Level 1

Project has many errors. Student did not apply given talent.
Level 2

Student made several attempts to repair chair with teachers direction. Improved but still has some errors.
Level 3

Project has few minor errors. Student applied given talent to satisfactory standards.
Level 4

Project built to detailed standards. Able to be sold in a store.
