There is a strong understanding of the character. The objective of the character and the relationship between the characters are clearly seen, as well.

Student uses little to no expression in his/her voice and could not be heard during the performance.

Student used expression while speaking and could be heard at most times during the performance.

Student uses expression in his/her voice and could be heard during the performance. Student added in extra traits that helped the believability of the character.
