Class Participation
	Excellent 5 pts	Good 4 pts	Fair 3 pts	Poor 2 pts
Attendance	Excellent Student is present and ready to participate when class bell rings every day.	Good Student is present, but not ready to go when the bell rings.	Fair Student is tardy or absent from class one day of the week.	Poor Student is tardy or absent two or more days of the week.
Participation	Excellent Student wants to participate and proactively contributes to class by offering ideas/asks questions. Student is willing to get other students involved.	Good Student participates, but not an involved level. Student occasionally asks questions or contributes ideas.	Fair Student has to be reminded that participation is required, rarely contributing to class discussions.	Poor Student does not participate in activities.
Cleanup	Excellent Student cleans up their work area and assists other with their clean up.	Good Student assists in clean up.	Fair Student helps for only part of clean up process.	Poor Student refuses to help clean up work area.
Attitude	Excellent Student takes pride in the way they work, observes all safety practices, and is willing to go the exra mile to help others and the instructor.	Good Student is involved in the learning and safety practices that are the rules of the shop.	Fair Student has fair attitude towards others, work, and instructor.	Poor Student has bad attitude towards others, instructor, and work in general. Student is involved in unsafe activities.
Listening	Excellent Student listens when others are talking, both in groups and in class. Students listening skills allow him/her to follow directions correctly and assist others with the skill.	Good Student listens when others are talking, both in groups and in class. Students listening skills are often surface listening and minimallay assists others with the skill.	Fair Student does not listen when others talk. Directions have to be given again. Student cannot assist others.	Poor Student does not listen when others talk, often carries on thier own conversation with another student, interferring with thier learning process.
Prepared	Excellent Student has all supplies needed for class and is organized in keeping current with assignements due.	Good Student has all supplies needed for class.	Fair Student has writing utensil and paper.	Poor Student has none of the following: pen, pencil, notebook, paper
