Football: Passing and Catching 
Secondary evaluation of the fundemental skill of passing and catching a football. Students are rated and scored on the mechanics of their passing and catching is the primary emphasis and accuracy is the secondary emphasis. There are 18 points possible.

Palm turns out, ball comes off the index finger, thumb finishes down. Ball moves in a spiral turn most of the attempted throw.
Catching the Football

Hand Action, Eyes, Tuck the ball

Not Acceptable

Does not attempt to use the diamond catch. Misses over 75% of thrown footballs.
Acceptable

Gaining a consistency in using the diamond shape and soft hands to catch and hang onto the football.
Proficient

Uses the big hands, reaches out, with diamond shape. Brings the ball in with soft hands.
Lacks the consistency on tucking in the football for protection.
