Partially Meets Standard

Student creates a multi-media project that is not an original piece of work. The presentation is lacking in visual displays and appeal.
Does Not Meet Standard

Student creates a multi-media project that is weak and contains little to no visual displays. The project does not appear to be original work.

This section of the rubric is used to evaluate the quality of the presentation based on various criteria listed below.
Appearance

The overall appearance of the rubric will be evaluated as well as language and conventions of grammar (ELA - L.8.1)

Exceeds Standard

Student uses text and graphics that enhance the appearance of the presentation. The words on the slide are spelled correctly and grammar is accurate. The background, titles and headings are easy to distinguish from other text. The transitions do not district or bore the viewer. The presentation is visually appealing.
Meets Standard

Student uses text and graphics that enhance the appearance of the presentation. The words on the slide are spelled correctly and grammar is accurate. The background, titles and headings are easy to distinguish from other text. The transitions do not district or bore the viewer.
Partially Meets Standard

Student uses text and graphics that enhance the appearance of the presentation. There are some words mis-spelled and grammar may not be accurate. The background, titles and headings are not distinct and the transitions may be a distraction.
Does Not Meet Standard

Student uses only text with very little to no graphics. There are multiple spelling errors and the appearance of the project is weak. Transitions are distracting to the presentation.

Exceeds Standard

Student uses sophisticated multi-media in the presentation than enhances the presentation. The media is relevant to the presentation.
Meets Standard

Student uses media in the presentation that enhances the presentation. The media is relevant to the presentation.
Partially Meets Standard

Student uses little media in the presentation. The media is not relevant or distracts the presentation
Does Not Meet Standard

Students does not use media in the presentation.
Organization
4 pts

The organization of the presentation in regards to the logical sequence and flow of content.

Exceeds Standard

The multi-media presentation is extremely well organized. The presentation goals are easy to follow and the sequence of content makes the presentation meaningful.
Meets Standard

The multi-media presentation is organized and easy to follow. The sequence of content is easy for the viewer to follow.
Partially Meets Standard

The multi-media presentation is unorganized and difficult to follow. The information is not in sequence and is distracting to the viewer.
Does Not Meet Standard

The multi-media presentation is not organized and has no logical sequence. The presentation is missing key components such as a title slide or conclusion slide.
Resources

All resources used in regards to the research need to be properly cited and referenced (W8.8) and NETS - Research and Information Fluency

Exceeds Standard

Student uses a variety of resources in their research. The sources are reliable and credible. The resources are cited appropriately and the student adheres to copyright when using materials.
Meets Standard

Student uses resources listed on handout. The resources are cited appropriately and student adheres to copyright laws.
Partially Meets Standard

Student lists only 1 or 2 resources and does not accurately cite their research or does not adhere to copyright laws when using media.
Does Not Meet Standard

Student does not list resources in their presentation and does not follow copyright laws when using media.
