Project is either original in design or is an extension of a class project with many new features.
Film: Characters are developed, film is engaging, a story is told as much as possible.
Excellent

Project can be describes as in 'good' but also works with very few, if any, errors.
Film: engaging story, interesting characters, details evident in storytelling.
Use of Program

Poor

Student shows little to no understanding of program used to generate project. Film: very basic presentation.
Fair

Student shows some understanding of aspects of program, but understanding is very limited. Film: Some other aspects of film are used but poorly and without coherence.
Good

Student shows a solid understanding of use of program. Film: Use is made of several aspects of the film medium.
Excellent

Program is used as fully as possible in creating the project, with (possibly) some extensions or uses not covered in class. Film: makes as full use as possible of the tools available within the program.
Execution

Poor

Project does not work well. If a film, the story is not engaging or confusingly told.
Fair

Project runs to completion but is incoherent in execution. Film:Story may have engaging moments, but film seems jumpy and incomplete
Good

Project works with few, if any, errors. Film: Story is understandable, attention has been paid to details of the film to assist in storytelling
Excellent

Project works completely with no evident errors. Film: Story is told with a sense of completeness, details are included that help make the story more interesing or understandable
