Conversations/peers	Poor Student did not speak with anyone about work created in the classroom.	Fair Student spoke with one person about artwork created in the classroom.	Good Student spoke with two or three peers about artwork created in the classroom.	Excellent Student spoke with four or five other peers about artwork created in the classroom.
Elements/Principles	Poor Student made vague comments about the art generally speaking "Nice work" or "That is cool" without using design elements or principles to back up their reason for the comments. They did not approach any of their peers to discuss art.	Fair Student made comments with one design element and principle to back up their idea.	Good Student made comments about artwork using two design elements and principles to back up the comment.	Excellent Student backed up comments with three or more elements or principles of design.
Student Reflection	Poor Student made a vague comment about their own art, without element or principle of design language.	Fair Student made comments with one design/principle of design comment to back up their comment.	Good Student made comments about their artwork using design principles and elements to back up their ideas.	Excellent Student backed up comments with three or more elements/principles of design references.
