Shows a complete understanding of tempo and beat and stays on rhythm throughout the dance.
Good
Accurate in beat, tempo, rhythms of dance sequences throughout the dance.
Acceptable
Generally accurate in beat, tempo, rhythms of dance sequences most of the time.
Progressing
Shows a basic understanding of tempo and beat, but falls behind and/or speeds up in places or makes errors in rhythm.
Beginning
Attempts to keep a rhythm, but gets off beat and speeds up or falls behind often. Doesn't follow beat in music.
Level of activity
Excellent
Student displays excellent effort during activities. Always tries their hardest and is never seen standing around during the activity. Participates for the full 50 Minutes
Good
Very good effort. Student tries their hardest. Participates for a minimum of 40 minutes.
Acceptable
Student tries to do their best. Participation is satisfactory. Able to maintain activity for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Progressing
Lacks effort, sometimes tries to participate, but doesn’t do very much once the activity has started. Able to maintain level of activity for a minumum of 20 Minutes.
Beginning
Very little effort, able to maintain level of activty for minumum of 15 minutes.
