Geometric Shape Animals
Students will create a whimsical landscape based of off Hundertwasser. They will break down the simple lines of buildings and natural landscape with lines and color. Students will also learn how to use line to contour the organic shapes that they created their landscape.

Student makes use of Geometric shapes but used some organic shapes and drew some contour lines to create the animal. The students shapes are cut somewhat uneven and edges are a bit jagged. Student used less than 7 shapes to create animal.

Student uses only organic shapes to make the drawing. The student outlines the contour of the shapes with a marker. Shapes are drawn very neatly and no jagged edges.

The student filled in 100% of their paper with the landscape drawing. They used the oil pastel on 25% or more of their project.
The student used the water color paint in a creative way for the background.

Student did not take the time to paint neatly. The overall painting is messy. And more than 50% of the paper is still white.

Student made the effort to paint in the lines but there are some shapes that are a little messy. Most areas are painted but some white paper is shown.

Student painted using watercolor paints in the way that was taught. No white paper is shown.
