Effort/Use of class time

LIttle Effort Visible

More talking than working. Little if any reflections done to improve work. More criteria not met than met.
About Average

Too much talking. Class time not consistently used well to work, reflect or make corrections. 2-3 criteria not met.
Better than Average

Mild distraction with talking. Otherwise, used class time well to meet most criteria and reflect on work, making improvements in most areas needed.
Superb

Worked diligently, using class time wisely to meet all/most criteria and to reflect on work and make improvements.
Neatness

LIttle Effort Visible

Pretty much the whole work is sloppily done. It looks rushed and it looks like the student did not care much about how he/she used the materials or about being neat with the media.
About Average

This looks like it was rushed. Coloring may be too loose and/or disorganized. There are areas of neatness, but they are about the same in quantity as areas of sloppiness. This student did not try consistently to be neat.
Better than Average

A couple of areas or techniques could have been improved on or used better. Otherwise nice job regarding neatness.
Superb

Maybe one small area that wasn't perfectly neat, otherwise all painting is not streaked, watercolor paint looks like water color paint, oil pastels are smooth, markers and colored pencil work is organized and orderly. Student worked within lines. No drips, smears, eraser marks, runs, etc. Really excellent job!
At least 3 media used

LIttle Effort Visible

Only 1 medium used.
About Average

2 Different media used.
Better than Average
Superb

At least 3 different media used.
Relates to Original Work

LIttle Effort Visible

I do not see how this work relates to the original inspiration. The arrangement is different. The characters that replaced the original objects are not recognizable. It just makes no sense to me without any explanation at all.
About Average

It's difficult to tell without explanation what painting inspired this project. Either not enough was replaced, too much was replaced, or the arrangement was changed to the point it not longer resembles the arrangement of the original work.
Better than Average

It's pretty clear which painting inspired this composition but components were not entirely arranged the same way, slightly changing the essence from that of the original work.
Superb

It is very clear which painting inspired this composition. Only key components were replaced. The essence of the original work was maintained.
Creativity/Originality

LIttle Effort Visible

This student's parody idea was copied off the internet 100%.
About Average

This student's parody idea was copied off the internet with only one thing changed to make it their own.
Better than Average

This student's parody idea was seen on the internet but part of it was changed to reflect more of their own personality.
Superb

This student's parody idea was one of a kind original! I have not seen it anywhere else. Very creative and fun to look at.
