Good I am paying some attention to directions and demonstrations. I am doing most of what the teacher demonstrated.	Fair I am doing one or more of these: paying a little bit of attention to directions and demonstrations, doing some of what the teacher demonstrated, skipping steps or doing them out of order.	Poor I am doing one or more of these: paying no attention to directions and demonstrations, guessing at what to do, I'm not sure what the steps are.
Focusing on the Task	Excellent I am using tools and materials correctly, cleaning up and putting them away appropriately when I am done. I keep conversation limited and don't let it interrupt my doing my best work.	Good I am using tools and materials somewhat correctly, cleaning up and putting them away appropriately when I am done. I may let conversations distract me at times.	Fair I am doing one or more of these: using tools and materials incorrectly, cleaning up sporadically or incompletely, talking during the teacher's instruction, or talking too much and don't use my class studio time well.
