Choreographing a Solo 
Students are asked to create a one minute solo of modern dance choreography based on the theme: Who am I? Then students are grouped into three follow-up tasks: writing an essay detailing the solo; notating the choreography utilizing the Labanotation system; designing a costume that would be appropriate for the solo.
