Sgraffito Design 50 % of Grade	Excellent Student added well thought out design/pattern on the tray by carving into the clay when leatherhard. The design looks in proportion to the vessel and is inspired by the sketches made by the student.The piece was detailed and displays a great deal of effort.	Proficient Student added an incised design/pattern, but did not carefully place it in a balanced way on the tray. The design looks quickly placed and not really thought out. The student had some detail and there is attention to positive and negative space.	Almost There Student added an incised design that is not well proportioned to the tray. and looks very poorly crafted. The design was not really pre-planned by the student.There is little thought of space or pattern.	Needs Work Student's design is not proportional and is very uneven and sloppy. Lacks detail.
