Class time was not used effectively & most of the work was done on the last day or two of the assignment, if the assignment is even finished.

Class time was not always used effectively & the piece would definitely be more successful had time been used more effectively. Some days it was unclear whether any progress was made.

Most of the class time was used effectively, although there may have been one day where not much progress was made. Student could have put a little more time and effort for that extra "umph!"

Student used class time wisely and efficiently. Much time & effort went into the planning and design of the piece.
