Safety	Distinguished Student wore the proper welding glasses, FR shirt and light weight welding gloves. When using the oxyacetylene torch set the student used all the safety requirements that are required for the oxyacetylene welding set. The student used all the safety requirements when using the STRSW heat shrinking probe, without any assistance from the instructor.	Proficient Student did not use all of the proper safety PPE, when the student uses either the STRSW or the oxyacetylene welding set, the student could not perform the complete task without assistance from the instructor.	Basic Student did not perform the task or attempt the task, student did not use the checklist or did the student have any knowledge of the STRSW or the oxyacetylene outfit.	Total Score
Metal Preparation	Distinguished Student performed all the steps on the checklist to prepare the metal for the heat shrinking procedure. Student set up either the oxyacetylene welding outfit or the STRSW safely and with no error without the assistance of the instructor.	Proficient Student skipped some of the steps on the checklist, student was not able to prepare the metal for heat shrinking and the student did not set up the oxyacetylene welding outfit or the STRSW correctly. Student was not able to perform the task at 100% without the assistance of the instructor.	Basic Student was not able to prepare the metal heat shrinking, student did not use the checklist or the student did not attempt the task at all.	Total Score
Heat Shrinking	Distinguished Student used the STRSW or the oxyacetylene welding outfit following all the steps on the checklist without error and no assistance from the instructor.	Proficient Student was able to perform the task skipping several of the steps on the checklist. The student used the STRSW or the oxyacetylene welding outfit with help from the instructor on 50% of the task.
