Frisbee Throwing and Catching 
Students will throw and catch a frisbee with thier partner to complete the assessment.

Backhand Throw

Hold Frisbee with hand you write with.
Index finger along the edge, thumb on top and the other three fingers holding the edge of the disc.
Shoulder of the hand you are throwing with should face your target.
Bring the disc towards the body by curling the throwing arm making sure to keep the disc level.
Extend the arm and snap at the wrist while stepping towards your target with your foot. Step with the same foot that you have the disc.

Student seems very confused on how to throw the backhand throw. They can not get the grip correct and do not step with the correct foot.

Correct form is not used at all.

Student demonstrates some understanding of the backhand throw. They hold the Frisbee correct but do not tuck the Frisbee nor do they step with the correct foot.

Correct form us used some of the time.
Proficent

Student demonstrates a complete understanding of how to throw the backhand throw. They grip the Frisbee correctly and they tuck the Frisbee under their arm. They step with the correct foot
