iRubric: Wet Styling: Roller Set/Pin Curl/Style Test rubric

Student needed a high level of supervision to complete roller placement.
Had difficulty with all of the following tasks. Was mostly unable to do the following tasks:
1. place rollers from largest to smallest
2. created uneven sub-sections
3. hair was not smooth around roller with loose pieces when clipped.

Student needed several reminders to complete roller placement.
Had difficulty with of following tasks:
1. place rollers from largest to smallest
2. created sub-sections equal length & width of each roller
3. hair is smooth around roller with no loose pieces when clipped.

Student needed a few reminders to complete roller placement.
Had difficulty with 1/3 of the following tasks:
1. place rollers from largest to smallest
2. created sub-sections equal length & width of each roller
3. hair is smooth around roller with no loose pieces when clipped.

Student was able to listen to directions to complete roller placement.
Had no significant difficulty with any of the following tasks:
1. place rollers from largest to smallest
2. created sub-sections equal length & width of each roller
3. hair is smooth around roller with no loose pieces when clipped

Student did not attempt to do any type of style for review.

Student did attempt style with little to none effort in his/her work.

Student completed style, with some parts still showing and not completely smooth.

Student completed style, student was creative and style looked great.

Student is unable to use more than one tool at a time. Continually sets tools down. Struggles to manipulate rollers/pin curl clips and while roller or pin curling hair. Struggles to manipulate without setting one or both tools down frequently.

Student can use more than one tool but struggles setting tools down frequently.

Student uses tools satisfactory Uses proper hand movements. Uses tools safely.

Student was able to use tools easily while manipulating hair.

Student doesn't try or is unwilling to correct rollers and/or pin curls, or do not having straight sectioning lines.

Student demonstrates Disrespect, Distracts other students and instructor, Slang Vocabulary and grammar, Negative behavior . Student had cell phone in lab area.

Student demonstrates a conscious effort in behavior but needs to be reminded on a regular basis to correct themselves and to stay on task. Behavior needs improvement.

Student demonstrates respect, good vocabulary and grammar, good positive behavior. A team player.

Student demonstrates ability to recognize and behave appropriate workplace behavior. Respectful, professional vocabulary and grammar. An excellent team player!
