Perfomance Tasks

Safety	Poor Did not wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment while completing Task. AUTOMATIC FAIL OF PERFORMANCE TASK	Fair Had to be reminded to wear Personal Protection Equipment while completing Task.	Good Used all appropriate Personal Protection Equipment necessary while completing Task.
Area and Equipment Setup	Poor Did not check area; Did not clean table off; did not know how to set up equipment; did not run a test bead proir to performing Task.	Fair Missed one or two of the criteria.	Good Checked area before welding. Cleaned Table off. Set up equipment properly without having to ask direction or for help. Ran a test bead prior to welding performance Task.
Followed Directions / Time	Poor Did not read directions and did not follow the appropriate steps to completing the task. Did not complete in the alloted time.	Fair Did not follow directions missing 1 to 3 items and\or had to be reminded of them throughout performing the task.	Good Read and Followed all directions while completing the assigned task. Completed in the alloted time.
Metal Preparation	Poor Did not Prepare weld metal; Did not tack metal; Did not show to teacher before welding.	Fair Missed one or two of the criteria.	Good Properly prepared weld metal. Tacked weld metal in proper position. Showed to instructor before welding.
Weld Quality	Poor Did not pass Visual Inspection. Did not meet all Perameters of WPS. Weld was not cleaned after Performance Task was completed. Weld piece did not show Individual pride in Craftsmanship.	Fair Missed one or two of the criteria.	Good Weld Passed Visual inspection. Weld met all parameters of WPS. Weld was cleaned. Weld piece showed Pride in Craftsmanship.
