Soil Profile Evaluation Tool

Students will work in groups to create a soil profile evaluation tool. The tool will be used and presented using three soil profiles the students have selected. They will need to have three example soil profiles: poor, good, and excellent.

Soil Profile Examples	Poor Group has one soil profile.	Fair Group has two soil profiles.	Good Group has three soil profiles.
Soil Profile Variation	Poor Group has soil profiles that are all similar.	Fair Group has soil profiles that exhibit two of the following: poor soil, good soil, and/or excellent soil.	Good Group has soil three soil profiles that exhibit a poor soil, good soil, and excellent soil.
Top Soil Evaluation Tool	Poor Evaluation tool includes one of the following: correct soil color, correct soil depth, and correct soil texture.	Fair Evaluation tool includes two of the following: correct soil color, correct soil depth, and correct soil texture.	Good Evaluation tool includes three of the following: correct soil color, correct soil depth, and correct soil texture.
Subsoil Evaluation Tool	Poor Evaluation tool includes one of the following: correct soil color, correct soil depth, soil water analysis, and correct soil texture.
