The elements and organizing principles - composition is a key component to the imagery and design.	Fair The student completed the project with appropriate subject matter. However, the artwork shows little understanding of the concept of the assignment and purposeful composition.	Moderate The student used somewhat interesting subject matter and completed a well composed project. However, the artwork lacks attention to some design elements/principles that could better illustrate the the imagery and concept.	Good The student produced an interesting project free from predictable subject matter. Good consideration was given to specific elements and principles of composition that make the imagery and concept eye catching.	Excellent The student produced a project with considerable originality that comes from divergent thinking. The intriguing subject matter along with the selected elements and principles contribute significantly to the composition, powerful imagery and the expression of the concept.

Excellent The student presented a polished, well- rehearsed and generous project. The materials are applied in a manner and technique that highlights the concept and the imagery.
