Use of fingertips	Poor Slaps the ball in an erratic fashion.	Fair Uses a combination of fingertips and the palm of the hand. Uses fingertips and the palm of the hand about half of the time	Proficient Uses a combination of fingertips and the palm of the hand. Usually uses fingertips, but occasionally uses the palm of hand.	Excellent Uses the fingertips exclusively.
Knees bent	Poor Stands upright	Fair Knees are bent about half of the time and standing up about half of the time	Proficient Knees are slightly bent, but occassionally standing up.	Excellent The students knees are bent all of the time while dribbling.
Ball kept below the waist	Poor Ball is dribbled up high and not in control. Frequently loses the ball.	Fair Ball is sometimes dribbled below the waist with occasional dribbling above the waist. Student has control of ball most of the time.	Proficient Ball is mainly dribbled below the waist with occasional dribbling above the waist. Student has control of ball the whole time.	Excellent Ball is dribbled below the waist in a controlled fashion throughout the entire assessment.
