	Needs work 3 pts	Good 5 pts	Proficient 7 pts	Advance Proficient 10 pts
Carrying the Puck	Needs work Student loses puck off the stick blade often and switches from left hand to right hand.	Good Student loses puck off the stick blade often.	Proficient Student keeps puck touching the blade of the stick.	Advance Proficient Student keeps puck in center of blade and can move along the floor keeping stick/puck contact.
Stick Handling Technique	Needs work Student only uses one side of the stick blade.	Good Can not change direction without losing control of the puck.	Proficient Can control the puck enough to change direction.	Advance Proficient Keeps the puck in front while keeping head up and using short taps on the stick. Uses both sides of the blade.
Safety	Needs work Does not carry the stick in a safe manner and high sticks more than 3 times in a game.	Good Sometimes uses the stick in a safe manner and high sticks 2 to 3 times in a game.	Proficient Usually uses the stick in a safe manner and high sticks 1 time or less in a game.	Advance Proficient Always holds the stick in a safe manner, and never high sticks.
Teamwork & Effort	Needs work Refuses to particpate in games.	Good Does not follow rules and is not a good sport. Does not try.	Proficient Tries to follow game rules but does not always display good sportsmanship.	Advance Proficient Follows game rules and is a good sport. Always tries hard during activities.
Dribbling technique	Needs work Loses control of the puck often	Good Student can use short taps or pushes but can not maintain control of puck	Proficient Student can use short taps and pushes and maintains control of the puck most of the time	Advance Proficient Student can manipulate the puck with their head up, has a strong feel and complete control of the puck
