	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Speaking to a specific character	Poor No character was used. Performer was not communicating with another character using off stage focus.	Fair Performer communicated with another character sporadically. Off stage Focus was often lost.	Good A character focus was used. Performer communicated easily with a specifc character off stage.
Movement	Poor Performer did not move at all.	Fair Movement did not aide the monologue or its mood. There was no purpose in movement. Movement was distracting.	Good Movement was creative and worked with the mood of the piece. Performer used thought and rehearsal in creating movement.
Voice	Poor Could not hear performer. Could not understand performer.	Fair Performer could be heard, but there was no attempt to use the voice to aide the monologue.	Good Performer used voice to work with the mood of the piece. Performer used thought and rehearsal in creating voice.
Memorization	Poor Performer was not memorized and carried monologue on stage.	Fair 50% of the monologue was memorized. Performer needed prompting. Lack of memorization detracted from the monologue.	Good Monologue was fully to mostly memorized. If needed, prompting did not detract from the monologue.
