VIS Ballroom Competition: SWING RUBRIC 
An innovative educational dance program, providing arts and physical education to the students of Vicksburg Intermediate School. Students learn ballroom dancing for 15 weeks and compete in a school wide dance competition.

Shows a complete understanding of dance components taught. Dance flows and is exciting to watch as partners work well together. Polished.

How does the student work with partner while demonstrating the moves.

Unsatisfactory

Little effort made to contribute to dance. Distracted by peers.
Needs Improvement

Cooperative most of time, but not attentive or well prepared to dance.
Good

Cooperative with Partner and ready to perform. Takes the initiative to practice and master new moves.
Excellent

Always respects and shows consideration for other partner. Prepared, well-rehearsed in all moves, focused and fun to watch!
