Volleying Volleying Students will volley a ball using a mature two-hand pattern sending it upward to a target, performs a legal underhand serve with control, strike with an overarm pattern. Volley Rubric
	Poor 3 pts	Fair 6 pts	Good 9 pts
Bump Pass	Poor Hands were apart, body in upright position, no attempt to keep ball in play.	Fair Weight on heels, elbows were bent, ball was playable for teammates, some control of ball,	Good Body in athletic stance, weight on balls of feet, knees bent, hands together, ball went towards target, control of the ball
Underhand Serve	Poor Serve was not under control, ball did not go to intended target, soft hitting arm, did not hit ball with ball of hand, legs straight.	Fair Weight on heels when serving, serve was under control, ball did not go towards intended target.	Good Serve was under control, ball went to intended target, strong hitting arm, legs were bent and extended when served.
Strike	Poor Strike with fingers, no movement in body, ball did not under control, did not go towards intended target.	Fair Strike with hand, ball did not make it to intended target, ball under control.	Good Strike with ball of hand, arms and legs extend to strike ball, ball goes towards target
