Below Standards

The student has difficulties following the directions that are specified in the assignment instructions and has trouble navigating the computer or its software. The student often needs teacher assistance
Approaching Standards

The student is able to follow some directions and shows some computer literacy skills. The student ask for teacher assistance, but is able to navigate with guidance.
Meeting Standards

The student follows directions regularly and shows above average computer literacy skills while using the correct and appropriate tools.
Exceeding Standards

The student exhibits a complete understanding of programs,navigating the computer, and the student is able to apply prior knowledge of skills learned to demonstrate their ability to create work that stems from their own ideas.
File Management

Below Standards

The student is unable to save photos to the appropriate area at any time throughout the process of the project and often loses images or work that is not completed.
Approaching Standards

The student saves documents and projects, but has difficulties locating the file after it is saved to continue working. Projects are not titled correctly, but they are saved. Student saves work, but does not have a flash drive of their own.
Meeting Standards

The student saves and names the project with the specific title given in the directions, student can always locate work that has been saved. Work is saved on their flash drive.
Exceeding Standards

The student saves the images to the appropriate area with the appropriate file type when submitting work. Images are saved and titled while working in photoshop. Work is always saved and submitted from their own flash drive.
Effectiveness of Photoshop

Below Standards

The before and after photos are similar and do not demonstrate any visible changes to the photo. Based on the visual assessment of the project the basic directions were not met.
Approaching Standards

The student loosely organized the photo making only small changes. The minimum standards are met with the project and it lacks creativity. Some steps were followed during the project, while other steps were missed.
Meeting Standards

All work demonstrates some level of creativity. All standards were met within the guidelines of the directions. Effective use of photoshop tools and functions were used throughout the project.
Exceeding Standards

The final product of the project is neat and precise. There is a vivid demonstration of creativity within the project. Multiple functions of photoshop were used in creating the project. All directions were met and exceeded.
Timeliness and Completion

Below Standards

Student was not on task throughout the time allotted for the project. The student needed to be redirected several times to remain on task. Project was not completed in a timely fashion.
Approaching Standards

Student was somewhat on task throughout the time allotted for the project. The student needed few reminders to remain on task. Work was submitted on time, but the work was not complete.
Meeting Standards

Student remained on task throughout the project. The task was complete and submitted on time.
Exceeding Standards

The student is always on task and completed the assignment early. The student demonstrates complete understanding of the assignment is able to assist others with completing the task.
