Proficient The top edge shows some attention but could use more purposeful design and care in smoothing.	Advanced Attention is paid to the design of the top edge of the vase or pitcher. It is has no cracks and is smooth and even as intended.
base of pot	Progressing The bottom of the pot has had no special attention. It is uneven and there are thin, rough, edges that will need to be sanded off later.	Proficient The bottom of the pot has had some attention but needs more work in making it smooth and uniform.	Advanced Attention is given to the design of the bottom edge. It has been smoothed and designed as intended
relief/or carving of sides	Progressing There are few to no additions of clay or pressed in textures on the clay body.	Proficient Texture and added relief has been added to the body of the pot but it is somewhat random and does not unify the pot and make it look well designed.	Advanced Clay has been added to the design of the vase so that a design sticks out from the side. Other textures have been pressed or carved into the side of the pot. It has been thoughtfully applied and ties the whole pot together.
