Knowledge of Choreography Memory of the routine and execution of the moves looks true to the moves that were choreographed.	Exceeds 96-100 Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the choreography. and does it well.	Proficient 80-95 Demonstrates good knowledge of choreography. Keeps up with group. Few errors, however it does not interfere with performance.	Emerging 71-79 Demonstrates knowledge of choreography. Keeps up with group. Some errors(3-5 errors) causing brief pause in performance.	Partial 65-69 Demonstrates some knowledge of choreography, but unsure of some movements. Sometimes hesitates/ watches others and makes several errors	Minimal 64 and below Remembers a few of the steps/ movements and tries, but looks lost and out of sync with others.
Technical skills Pointing toes, Core is engaged, arm placement is not sloppy, moves are executed smoothly.	Exceeds 96-100 Dance performed with great attention to quality of movement, body position, and other details of dance. Also demonstrates an excellent understanding of dance style.	Proficient 80-95 Dance performed with attention to details of technique, has attained proficiency in dance style.	Emerging 71-79 Dance performed with attention to most details of technique, but hasn't attained proficiency in dance style yet. Some technical errors.	Partial 65-69 Only some understanding of technical elements (ie. footwork, quality of movements, body positions) demonstrated in performance.	Minimal 64 and below Although remembers some of dance, little attention paid to how movements are done or other details of dance.
Performance Skills Projection beyond self Facial expression are alive. The dancer is confident with movements.	Exceeds 96-100 The dancer draws the audience and engages them completely through their performance. A true joy to watch!	Proficient 80-95 The dancer communicates with audience with facial and body expression. Is able to engage the audience	Emerging 71-79 The dancer communicates with audience facial and body expression. Occasionally loses focus.	Partial 65-69 The dancer is generally focused, but only some attempt made to grab attention of the audience. Some facial expression.	Minimal 64 and below The dancer is not very focused concentrated or committed to performance.
Rhythm/Tempo Staying with the rhythm and mood s of the music (FEELS the MUSIC)	Exceeds 96-100 Shows a complete understanding of tempo and mood and stays on rhythm throughout the dance.	Proficient 80-95 Accurate in beat, tempo, rhythms of dance sequences throughout the dance.	Emerging 71-79 Generally accurate in beat, tempo, rhythms of dance sequences most of the time.	Partial 65-69 Shows a basic understanding of tempo and beat, but falls behind and/or speeds up in places or makes errors in rhythm.	Minimal 64 and below Attempts to keep a rhythm, but gets off beat and speeds up or falls behind often. Doesn't follow beat in music.
