Legs	Exploring Student does not move towards Basket Student stands straight up	Developing Student stands straight up. Does not use legs during their shot	Competent Slight bend in legs before taking a shot. Student does not use legs to help shoot.	Proficient Student bends their knees prior to shot. Student uses their legs to help shoot.
Hands	Exploring Student shoots the ball underhand. Student does not use two hands.	Developing Student uses one hand to shoot the basketball. Ball starts above the students head.	Competent Student mostly uses two hands to shoot basketball. Student starts the ball in front of their face and is pushed in an upward motion.	Proficient Student consistently uses two hands to shoot the basketball. Basketball starts in front of chest/body and is pushed in an upward motion.
Eyes	Exploring Eyes are towards other students.	Developing Eyes are not looking at the basket when shooting the basketball.	Competent Eyes are mostly looking at the target when shooting the basketball.	Proficient Eyes are always on the target while shooting the basketball.
