Plant Selection	Poor Plants selected are not appropriate for the site.	Fair Plants selected are somewhat appropriate to the site.	Good Plants selected are almost all appropriate to the site.	Excellent Plants selected are excellent visual and economical choices.
Design is Neat	Poor Design is hard to understand because it has not been drawn neatly and clearly.	Fair Design is able to be understood but is still visually confusing.	Good Design is clearly understood and is neat but maybe not clean.	Excellent Design is excellent and very neat and clean.
Complete	Poor Design is lacking more than three parts.	Fair Design is lacking two parts.	Good Design is lacking one part.	Excellent Design is lacking nothing.
Artistic	Poor Design beds are squiggly and do not make sense.	Fair Design beds are appropriate in some places but not in others. Plants are not used to fill the space correctly.
