Thesis	Poor Thesis is not clear.	Average The thesis is somewhat clear, but additional language was needed to determine the purpose of the speech.	Good Clear thesis establishes the purpose of the speech, but some development needed.	Excellent Clear well-written thesis. Purpose of the speech is immediately understood.
Organization/Logic	Poor Organization and logic is unclear.	Average Organization and logic is somewhat clear, but additional work is needed for clarity.	Good Organization and logic is good, but some development needed.	Excellent Organization and logic is excellent, and the flow of the speech is easy to follow. The speech is convincing and the audience is persuaded.

Delivery	Poor Mind, body and voice not in sync. No eye contact. Read the speech instead of talking to the audience. Body is unfocused and gestures are awkward. Mispronounced words and was inaudible.
