Child lacks awareness of how to properly hold scissors. May attempt to hold scissors with two hands.
Requires hand over hand assistance in order to place fingers in loops in a proper thumb up position.

Child shows lack of Initiation of movement to scissors
Requires verbal cues and physical cues to put hands in scissors and physical cueing at elbow to get ready to cut with thumb up position.
