Attentiveness

Poor (removal from room = 0 score)

Is inattentive for most of the session, displaying poor posture and/or limited eye contact. Numerous prompts are required.
Satisfactory

Listens attentively most of the session, but at least one prompt is required to improve posture, eye contact, or remaining focussed.
Excellent

Listens attentively to speakers with acdceptable posture and eye contact;
remains focussed on problem to be solved or topic discussed.
Respect

Poor (removal from room = 0 score)

Displays lack of respect for others throughout session via constant disruptions or inappropriate language, requiring numerous prompts.
Satisfactory

Displays lack of respect for others via disruption or inappropriate language, but responds positively to a prompt and remains respectful for remainder of session.
Excellent

Consistently demonstrates respect for peers and adults throughout session.
Participation

Poor (removal from room = 0 score)

Does not participate actively during session; passively follows along with the activity or discussion with minimal interest.
Satisfactory

Participates at least 1-2 times in a positive manner during session, and remains on topic or problem to be solved.
Excellent

Participates actively and positively throughout session, remaining on topic and attempting to group problem-solve when appropriate.
